2021 DII Men’s Basketball Championship field announced

The NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Committee today announced the number of 48 teams that will compete in the 2021 NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Championship.

Sixteen conferences were automatically qualified. The remaining 32 teams were generally selected by the committee.

Seven regional tournaments, made up of six teams each, will take place on March 13, 14 and 16. The Western Regional Tournament will take place on March 12, 13 and 15. The eight regional champions will advance to the quarter-finals in conjunction with the 2021 NCAA Division II men’s event. Elite Eight. The quarterfinal, semi-final and championship games will take place at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana on March 24, 25 and 27.
